A new victor was crowned in the J1 League. Vissel Kobe, a team launched in 1995 has become the 11th club to take the champion’s stand in the history of the J1 League. It maintained its strong performance from the early stages of the season, battling fiercely for the top spot with Yokohama F・Marinos, the defending champions of the previous season, as well as other teams. After taking the lead in the 26th section in September, it secured the win with a four-point lead over second-placed Yokohama F・Marinos in the final 33rd section. Players with experience playing in the Japan National Team, including Yuya OSAKO, who took home the title of top scorer at the same time as Anderson Lopes (Yokohama F・Marinos) did, took leading roles in driving the teams forward. The football style instilled by manager Takayuki YOSHIDA, rooted in hard work in both offense and defence, produced impressive results.

Under the guidance of head coach Kiyotaka ISHIMARU, who was taking command of the team for the second time since 2022 after concluding his player career in Ehime, the team was reinforced through the combined forces of experienced veteran players such as Ryota MORIWAKI and Riki MATSUDA, and young players such as Shunsuke TANIMOTO and Taiga ISHIURA. Out of 21 victories, the team achieved 19 of these with a one-point lead, demonstrating their competitive strengths and ultimately dominating the league. On the other hand, the other promotion spot was taken by Kagoshima United FC. It secured the second place in the final section and made its return to the J2 League for the first time in five years.
