2025 J.LEAGUE YBC Levain CUP Prime Round Quarter-Finals Fixtures

 Following the draw for the 2025 J.LEAGUE YBC Levain CUP Prime Round Quarter-Finals held today, the fixtures have been decided as follows. The Prime Round will be starting on Wednesday, September 3rd.

Prime Round match schedule and competition format

 

- Match Schedule

Quarter-finals  1st Leg: Wednesday, September 3  /  2nd Leg: Sunday, September 7

Semi-finals  1st Leg: Wednesday, October 8  /  2nd Leg: Sunday, October 12

Final  Saturday, November 1

 

- Competition Format

Total of eight teams comprising four winning teams from the Play-off Round, three teams participated in the AFC Champions League Elite 2024/25 (Vissel Kobe, Kawasaki Frontale and Yokohama FMarinos) and Urawa Reds participates in FIFA Club World Cup 2025 will play the Prime Round in a home and away tournament (There is only one match for the final).

 

- Quarter finals, Semi-finals (home and away)

In case a 90-minute match (two halves of 45 minutes each) is played and no winner is decided, the match ends in a tie, the winner in each round is the team with the highest number of wins for two matches.

If the number of wins is the same, the ranking is determined based on the following, in order of priority.

 

 Goal difference for two matches

 30-minute extra time (two halves of 15 minutes each) at the end of the 2nd leg

Penalty shoot-out

(Five players from each team. If the winner is not decided, the sixth and subsequent players will take turns to kick until the winner is decided).

 

- Final (One match)

In case a 90-minute match (two halves of 45 minutes each) is played and no winner is decided, an extra 30 minutes (two halves of 15 minutes each) is played. If the winner is still not decided, the winner is decided by a penalty shoot-out. (Five players from each team. If the winner is not decided, the sixth and subsequent players will take turns to kick until the winner is decided).
