On the passing of Mr.Leandro Domingues

We are deeply saddened to hear of the passing of Mr.Leandro Domingues, who played for Kashiwa Reysol, Nagoya Grampus and Yokohama FC from 2010 to 2020. We would like to express our deepest condolences.

Here is the comment of J.League Chairman Yoshikazu NONOMURA.

“I was very surprised to hear of Mr.Leandro Domingues’s passing and I am truly sorry for his loss.

I remember the atmosphere in the stadium changing suddenly when he got the ball, as we all wondered what would happen next.

Many J.League players were inspired by his attitude to football and his creative play, and they worked hard to improve the standard of J.League.

We, J. League, J clubs and the football family in Japan would like to express our sincere condolences to Mr.Leandro Domingues, who led J. League for over 10 years.”
