J.League will hold the MEIJI YASUDA J.LEAGUE WORLD CHALLENGE 2023 (JWC) which will see a J.League Club play against a world-class club in Europe on Sunday, 23 July and Audi Football Summit(AFS) with two top clubs in Europe playing against each other on Wednesday, 26 July.
MEIJI YASUDA J.LEAGUE WORLD CHALLENGE 2023 will be held for the first time in four years since 2019 with special support from J.League title partner Meiji Yasuda Life Insurance Company.
From the J.League, Yokohama F・Marinos, which is champion of MEIJI YASUDA J1 LEAGUE will play against Manchester City FC from Premier League.
Manchester City FC and FC Bayern Munich from German Bundesliga will play against each other in the Audi Football Summit(AFS).
The purpose of this matches is to create opportunities for J.League Club to experience international matches, and to create opportunities for as many people as possible to see world-class, attractive football.
Both matches will be co-hosted by J.League and NTT DOCOMO,INC and will be streamed domestically exclusively for free on "Lemino", OTT(Over The Top) platform run by NTT DOCOMO,INC.
