As part of Year 2 of the “J.League Global Football Advisor Project,” which started in 2025, the J.League has formed U-16 J.League Select Team and plans to hold a total of four domestic training camps. The first camp, for the Tokai and Kansai regions, will take place in Osaka from Wednesday 21 October and the second camp, for the Hokkaido, Tohoku and Hokushinetsu regions, will be held in Miyagi from Monday 26 October.
Mr. Roger Schmidt, a J.League Global Football Adviser, will serve as head coach for this initiative and will provide direct coaching to young players in each region. The aim is to share methodologies and coaching techniques for implementing a world-class style of football with the players and the J.League club coaches, and to ensure these are firmly established.
